Sony introduces wearable air conditioner smaller than a mobile phone.



Now you will be able to wear your air conditioner! Yes, you heard it right. Sony has built a new wearable AC, which could be worn with clothes. The said portable air conditioner is named Reon Pocket. It is smaller as well as lighter than a mobile handset and “releases cool air through a small rear panel”.
 
Reon Pocket runs on battery and can be worn “using a special undershirt”. It is connect with smartphones through Bluetooth which in turn controls its temperature. The battery takes two hours for charging and can last for ninety minutes.
 
As per the Tokyo-based company, the said AC was modelled by adopting the “Peltier element” which is normally seen in “car and wine coolers”. The fund to create Reon Pocket was gathered through crowdfunding and it has already collected “28,236,670 yen”, while the target is to reach “66,000,000”.
 
The entire cost of Reon Pocket along with the undershirt comes to “14,080 yen”, while the inner wear is available in various sizes starting from ‘S’ to ‘L’ and are made only for men. Furthermore, reports inform that:
“The device is by a lithium-ion battery. Reon Pocket supports Bluetooth 5.0 LE connected phones.
“The wearable AC is not waterproof, but any dirt, sweat, water droplets that stick can be wiped off with a hygroscopic soft cloth. The product is only available in Japan”.
