With users' permission, social network X (formerly known as Twitter) will start collecting their biometric data and employment history, wrote the company on the website.

According to the magazine, "With your consent, we may collect and use your biometric data for security and user identification purposes." Bloomberg points out that other digital companies use the phrase to refer to face, retinal, and fingerprint scans, but the corporation does not clarify what specifically will be called biometrics. Additionally, the social network will keep records of user employment and educational information to suggest job openings and share details with potential employers.

Bloomberg reports that X's privacy policy, which is in place until September 29 and does not include a clause for collecting biometric information or storing job history, is now in effect.
