As stated by Svyrydenko, the nations still need to complete the wording of the agreement along with its signing and approval in legislative bodies.

Previously, US President Donald Trump announced that the USA and Ukraine will finalize the agreement on April 24 next week.

The initial signing of the agreement on rare earth metals between the USA and Ukraine was disrupted in February following a public dispute between Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump. In late March, the US authorities delivered the second version of the agreement to Ukraine. It imagined oversight of all investments in the extraction of minerals, encompassing oil and gas. Zelenskyy declined to sign it as well, stating that Ukraine appreciated the USA's support but did not view it as its “obligation.”
