"The State Department has issued a decision authorizing potential overseas military sales to Taipei's economic and cultural affairs office in the United States as part of an expanded joint logistics support agreement to resupply standard aircraft parts and related equipment at an estimated cost of $330 million," reads the press release.
As previously mentioned, Taipei has contacted Washington to inquire about replenishing supplies and spare parts for the F-16, C-130, Indigenous Defense Fighter (IDF), and other aircraft.
The sale "serves U.S. national, economic, and security objectives by supporting the recipient's continuous efforts to sustain a credible defense capacity," according to the paper.
