Toyota Motor Corp Combines Four Group Firms To Improve Self-Driving Technology

In a battle among staying ahead in the automotive industry, Toyota unites four of its group firms to strengthen itself.



In an attempt to compete better with the “automotive component giants” like Bosch Group, Toyota Motor Corp will bring four of its group firm in a “joint venture”, wherein they will combine their “self-driving technologies”, reported the “Nikkei business daily”.
 
The above mentioned company will be formed by Denso Corp, Aisin Seiki Co, Jtekt Corp and Advics, as they will combine their technologies like steering and braking among others, while Denso is likely to have the “majority stake” in the new one.
 
Furthermore, Nikkei reported that the launch of the new firm is scheduled to be by this year end, while its primary function will be to supply Toyota besides targeting “European, U.S. and Chinese automakers”. Nevertheless, Reutes also informed that:
“Denso, Aisin and Jtekt declined to comment when contacted by Reuters. Representatives for Advics could not be immediately reached for comment”.
