The giants of the tech sectors, including Amazon, Google and Apple, will deal with rules for the first time which will regulate their “commercial relations” with smaller companies. This move under the law has been proposed last week by the European Union.
Especially the “app stores, search engines, e-commerce sites and hotel booking websites” will come under the radar of the new rules. As a result, they have to meet the transparency requirement in regards to the ranking results of S.E.O and also explain their action in delisting “some services”.
Furthermore, the said proposal gives a provision for the companies to “collectively sue online platforms” if they found breaking the new “non-discrimination and transparency” rules.
