Swisscom intends to combine Vodafone Italia and Fastweb, its Italian division. Among other things, a more effective cost structure will produce annual synergies of about €600 million.
After receiving regulatory approval, the acquisition is anticipated to close in the first quarter of 2025. According to the announcement, shareholder approval of Swisscom is not necessary.
