In the beginning of this week, Suzuki Motor Corp. and Toyota Motor Corp. showed a mutual consent towards carrying out “formal talks” for giving shape to their future partnership “between the two Japanese car makers” which will involve areas like “shared procurement, green vehicles, IT and safety technologies”.
In the month of October 2016, both the companies, Suzuki and Toyota, had informed that they were in the process of “exploring a partnership” given the challenges in the technological aspect for automakers, while there was also a need of maintaining the “consolidation in the global auto industry”.
