"International law, jurisprudence, and justice require the recognition of Palestine," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement released on Wednesday.

"God willing, the day will come when a Palestinian state will be formed from the (Jordan) River to the (Mediterranean) Sea," stated Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran.

Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated, "We welcomed the news of the recognition of a Palestinian state and are pleased for these choices, which pave the road for peace and a solution to the Palestinian issue based on the idea of "two states for two peoples."

Egyptian officials urged nations that haven't done so to act now "for the sake of defending the values, law, equality, and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people."

During a meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, Stéphane Séjourné, the French Foreign Minister, also stated that Paris is open to acknowledging Palestine.

Palestine is recognized as an independent state by Norway, Spain, and Ireland, according to Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris's statement earlier on Wednesday.
