According to the report, over 1,400 protests took place in state capitals, federal structures, congressional offices, Social Security centers, parks, and municipal halls nationwide.
The protests took place internationally as well. CNN reported that “approximately 600,000 individuals registered for the events, with some taking place in major cities like London and Paris.”
The organizers stated they called for “a halt to the billionaires' power seizure and widespread corruption of the Trump administration,” and stopping cuts to federal funding for Medicaid (a health insurance program for low-income individuals) and Social Security.
