Japan, South Korea and the U.S. sign defense cooperation memorandum

According to the EFE news agency, the defense ministers of South Korea, Japan, and the US signed a pact on trilateral security cooperation on Sunday.

Following the signing of the memorandum, Japanese Defense Minister Minoru Kihara stated that one of the document's provisions is for yearly gatherings such as this one. Information regarding the North Korean program to create WMDs is intended to be shared between them.

The next meeting is planned to take place in Seoul in 2025.

Kihara reported that the three ministers voiced worries regarding the growing collaboration of North Korea and Russia.
