The current location of the disaster hotspot is 120 kilometers to the east of the Florida coast. The hurricane is forecasted to keep moving towards the east over the coming days, getting farther from the coast.
The meteorological services in the area are cautioning that strong gusts of wind will continue in the eastern, central, and north-eastern regions of Florida for a while.
The heightened level of risk is present in additional US states, including Georgia and South Carolina.
