The conference will be divided into three parts: speeches of developers, technical forum and Codelabs. The main topics of the presentations will be the fifth generation technology (5G) and the Internet of things. In addition, the developers will pay more attention to smart home, sporting health, smart travel, user interface, augmented and virtual reality, as well as Huawei Pay.

Huawei may release its own mobile platform Hongmeng OS simultaneously with the new flagship smartphone Mate 30, which will compete with most top-end smartphones in 2019, including Google Pixel 4. The new operating system’s name is not known yet, but it is possible that it will be called HongMeng, which was registered in different countries as a brand.

According to some reports, the software platform will support the entire ecosystem of Huawei devices. In March of this year, Huawei CEO Yu Chengdong announced that the company had developed its own OS, in case the US authorities restrict access to Android or Windows. Later he also said that the software platform could be officially launched in China already in the fourth quarter of this year.

Huawei decided not to stop working on Hongmeng OS, launched in 2012, despite the easing in American sanctions approved by US President Donald Trump, Huawei Central reports, citing insiders inside the company.
