A statement posted on the company's official WeChat account on Thursday reads that Huawei has finished replacing its outdated ERP system with a new one dubbed MetaERP.
According to the report, MetaERP is based on Huawei's own GaussDB database management system and EulerOS operating system. It is stated that the "external pressure" the business experienced in 2019 played a role in the decision to move to its own system.
In May 2019, the US Department of Commerce placed Huawei on a "blacklist," preventing it from acquiring parts and technology from US producers.
