On Monday, Japanese automaker Honda Motor Co stated, its three car plants in Wuhan with the Dongfeng Group will remain close until February 13.
Although earlier it had said, it expects to resume production on February 14, a Japan-based representative for Honda Motor Co stated, the company will follow the policy of the local government.
Honda’s joint venture with the Dongfeng Group is based in the city of Wuhan in Hubei province, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.
The government of Hubei has extended China’s Lunar New Year holiday break upto February 13, in an effort to contain the pandemic.
