Fuse Defect Forces ‘FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co Ltd.’ To Recall “577,590” Vehicles In China

Quality watchdogs find fault with VW’s “Golf and Sagitar cars”.



The Chinese joint venture of Volkswagen AG, FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co Ltd, is going to make a recall of “577,590 Golf and Sagitar cars” as a result of defect in “a headlight fuse” which may cause “safety risks” related issues, reports a “quality watchdog”.
 
According to Reuters:
“The recall covers 416,364 Golfs produced between September 2009 and May 2014, and 161,226 Sagitars produced between July 2010 and March 2012, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine”.
 
While, the watchdog reported that the damage could lead to failure of headlights. Majority of the FAW-Volkswagen’s owner is China FAW Group Corp., whereby the latter was not immediately available for any comment, while “Volkswagen China declined to comment”.
 
In the month of March Volkswagen ha to recall more than one million “Audi vehicles” which harboured potential “leaks and coolant pumps faults”. According to last year’s sale’s figures of Volkswagen, “two fifth of its global sales” took place in China, whereby the company “delivered nearly 4 million vehicles” in the country.
