The deal is signed with private equity firm LoveFrom, which Jony Ive founded after leaving Apple in 2019. According to Ferrari, the first "expression" of the collaboration "will combine Ferrari's legendary performance with LoveFrom's unrivalled expertise and creativity". Future projects within the collaboration will involve Exor as a whole.

In addition to Ferrari, the holding of the Italian Agnelli family owns stakes in car manufacturer Stellantis (includes Citroen, Peugeout, Maseratti, Opel, Chrysler and other Italian and American car brands), Juventus Football Club and the Economist Group publishing house.

Jony Ive worked at Apple since 1992, when Steve Jobs rejoined the company in 1997 and is now responsible for the industrial design of all Apple products. He has been closely involved in the design of the iMac and MacBook computers, iPhone phones, iPods, and the architectural design of Apple's flagship shops and its current headquarters, Apple Park.
