The international bidding has already picked contractors for almost 200 km of the major route in Latvia, and the first 13 km of the southern segment of the project is set to commence construction.

In Estonia, the first 22 km of the main line are under construction; the contracts for the other 52 km are in the final stages of processing; and this year, the contracts for the remaining 30 km of the main line are anticipated to go out. Consequently, more than 100 km will be covered by the main line, for which contractors will be chosen.

Currently, 29 kilometers of the mainline are being built in Lithuania; the remaining 70 kilometers are expected to be completed by the end of the year. Public procurement procedures will also be initiated for the building of the Šiauliai-Seta segment and for specific construction projects on the Kaunas border and the border between Lithuania and Poland.

To expedite construction, joint design and construction tenders will be released. The procurement of train control and signaling equipment, together with the electrification of Rail Baltica's infrastructure, is proceeding according to plan.
