According to CNBC, Deutsche Bank reported a loss for the first time in fifteen quarters. The average expectation of analysts surveyed by LSEG was a €145 million loss.

The bank made €763 million in net profit from April to June of 2023.

The bank had earlier issued a warning, stating that it might have to pay an extra €1.3 billion to Postbank's former owners in the event of a legal procedure. The shareholders contend that the bank's worth at the time of the purchase was undervalued.

The bank’s revenue added 2% and rose to €7.6 billion.

During the year, the bank's fee and commission income increased by 9% to €624 million, but its net interest income decreased by 2% to €1.3 billion.
