According to the company's financial documents, Carlsberg Group, one of the largest breweries in the world by shareholders, reported a net profit of DKK 3.495 billion ($322 million) in the first half of the year following a loss of DKK 5.276 billion ($723 million) in the last year.
Diluted earnings per share for the six months came to 25.5 kroner ($2.35) following a loss of 37.4 kroner ($5.13) a year earlier. The earnings of Carlsberg increased by 6.6% to DKK 37.788 billion ($3.5 billion). The half-year organic sales growth rate was 0.8%.
Operating profit for the first half of the year was 6.272 billion kroner ($579 million), a 2.6% decrease from the same period last year.
