Brazil's inflation in March hits two-year high, grows further

According to the state statistics agency IBGE, Brazil's consumer price growth rate increased to 5.48% in March, up from 5.06% in February, marking its highest level since February 2023.

Inflation in the nation increased for the second month in a row.

In March, the prices of food and drinks in Brazil went up by 7.68%, transportation services increased by 6.05%, clothing by 3.53%, and health and personal care items by 5.79%.

Compared to February, consumer prices in the nation rose by 0.56%, while the increase was 1.31% the previous month
