Apple employees are already discussing what they will to do, if they are obliged to assist law enforcement authorities. Some people say that they can refuse to do their jobs, while others say they may even resign, instead of undermining the security of the software they have created, - writes the New York Times.

The publication notes that among interviewees were several engineers of the company, engaged in the development of mobile products and security, as well as former experts in data security.

As one of the former top managers of corporations Jean-Louis Gasse put it, Apple cherishes it feeling of freedom and independence. "If the government tries to enforce these engineers to carry out any work, I wish them luck," - he said, adding that the company's employees will find a way to ignore the authorities’ requirement.

The Cupertino giant's lawyers believe that the call for the authorities to weaken the defense of Apple devices is "fundamentally offensive to the basic principles of the company's work and will pose a serious threat to the independence of Apple and its engineers."

According to sources, Apple intends to create difficulties for the FBI, until it has run out of all legal opportunities to do so.
