Airbus press service noted that the order for 300 aircraft of the A320neo family from IndiGo is "one of the largest orders for Airbus aircraft from any one airline." After completing this order, the IndiGo fleet of A320neo will reach 730 units.
The total volume of firm orders for aircraft of the A320neo family as of the end of September 2019, according to Airbus, is more than 6650 units.
IndiGo is India's largest low cost airline. In Q1 2019, IndiGo ranked third in terms of international passenger traffic among Indian airlines, second only to Air India and the currently bankrupt Jet Airways.
